Student Self SEL Check

When activated, students have the ability to submit their own SEL Check from the Student Portal or Student App, with an authorized account. See the following link to activate the Student Self SEL Check from the Settings page. The video below shows an example of how the student self SEL Check can work in a virtual environment.

Student Portal

  1. From the main Student Portal screen the student would select the button with the SEL heart check icon.
  2. The student will select the appropriate emoji based on how they feel at the moment.
  3. The student can select the “Include Comment” checkbox and add a comment in the text field. NOTE: This step is optional and will only be available if the student selects a high risk check.
  4. The student will confirm “Yes” they are feeling the emotion that they selected.
  5. The student is brought back to the main Student Portal page and the SEL button is greyed out until they are able submit another check. If the student selects the greyed out SEL Check button then it will display the amount of time that the student has to wait between checks.
